    This is me!

    Hello!

My name is Mrs. Debbi Leptrone. 2020 marks the start of my 19th year teaching and my third year at Dallas Elementary. I have taught grades K-12, always in music. I sing and play piano and even once belonged to a praise band. I grew up in a musical home, taking piano lessons from the age of 5. I firmly believe that music has something to offer to everyone. Music touches every other subject, expresses emotion, makes connections between people of all lands, and works all parts of your brain. I try to expose students to as many types of music and musical experiences as possible throughout our times together.

I was born in Ohio, but grew up in Manchester, Tennessee. I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and lived there for 12 years. My husband and I moved to Georgia in 1999. We have three daughters who are in college at the University of West Georgia. I live at home with my husband, cat and two dogs.

Be sure to check out the other pages on this site. There are several websites that are just for fun on my Fun Resources page. The Calendar page has a direct link to the PCSD 2020-2021 school year calendar. On the Class Photos page, you might see some of your friends, or even you, having fun in music class throughout the year!

Most important, though, is the page "What do you do in Music Class anyway?" Here you will find information on class expectations, important website links to use throughout the year, and a virtual tour of the music room!

If you ever need to reach me, please email dleptrone@paulding.k12.ga.us. You may also call the school at 770-443-8018 and leave a message. I will return your call as soon as I am able.
