Reality Fairs

The Reality Fair is an interactive learning experience for eighth grade students. They will complete a unit on Personal Finance as part of their Georgia Studies Social Studies course. Instruction culminates with a capstone experience that ensures students have made the connections between education, career choice, and lifestyle as they simulate real-life activities, such as buying or renting a home/apartment, purchasing insurance, paying for daycare and groceries.

Pathway Fairs

Eighth grade students will visit one of the high schools in their feeder pattern to see first-hand the CTAE, Fine Arts, and World Language Pathways high schools offer. Eighth grade students will participate in a campus tour that includes a stop at each of the pathway classrooms/labs. High school students and instructors will be available for students to get answers to questions they may have about their upcoming transition to high school.
