    All PCSD middle school students have the opportunity to enroll in computer science or engineering courses.

    Computer Science

    Foundations of Secure Information Systems​

    This course will provide an exploratory foundation in information systems, networking, and cybersecurity.

    Foundations of Computer Programming

    This course will provide an exploratory foundation in computer programming.

    Foundations of Interactive Design

    This course will provide an exploratory foundation in design and development of websites and games.

     

    Engineering & Technology

    ​Exploring Engineering and Technology

    This course will provide all students with an introduction to the principles of Engineering & Technology and its place in the modern world. 

    Invention and Innovation

    This course will provide students with an opportunity to work individually, and in groups, to examine and solve societal problems through research, data collection, design, experimentation, and technology selection to produce a functional invention/innovation. 

    Technological Systems

    This course is designed to introduce students to systems and processes to develop an understanding of the impact of technology on humans, the environment, and the global community.
