Dr. LaRoyce Sublett
Dr. LaRoyce Sublett, a native Texan, is an accomplished educator with over 26 years experience providing teaching, training, support and quality servant leadership to urban elementary and secondary campuses as well as post-secondary institutions. He has experience working at the elementary, middle and high school levels as a teacher, counselor, special education coordinator, associate director of virtual learning for special education and administrator. He has expertise in SPED, ESOL, 504, and RTI. He also has experience as an adjunct instructor teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in education to future teachers currently for Georgia State University and Grand Canyon University. He has a long-standing career in educational leadership that has allowed him to serve diverse student populations in several school districts and colleges across the United States. Dr. Sublett has worked exclusively in Title I schools and has successfully led Regular Education, Special Education, Bilingual and ESL programs to improve student achievement. The schools and systems he has worked for have achieved national and statewide recognition for exemplary academic performance under his leadership. Among Dr. Sublett’s many achievements are his recognition as Teacher of the Year and Special Education Teacher of the Year in connection with his advanced degrees in special education, ESOL, Curriculum and Instruction, as well as serving on various committees in school systems to raise student achievement. Some of those committees consisted of the Cross Functional Access, Workers Comp, Special Education Data Integrity and TKES/LKES Development to name a few . He has been active in the communities he has served and lived in by working to provide service to students and families by being active an a PTO/PTA member, school booster clubs, homeowner’s association board, partnerships with local religious organizations and community groups designed to help the schools and system in which has been so fortunate to work for. He most notably graduated from the "Leadership Rome" leadership-training organization sponsored by the Rome Chamber of Commerce making the 85th class of community leaders selected. Dr. Sublett has a philosophy of using best practices in research and theory to improve student learner outcomes based on research based practices. His motto, which was instilled in him by his high school teacher/ track coach and mentor was “if you believe you can become it; if you believe it you can achieve it”.
