April Byrne started in education in 2008 after graduating from Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and working in the private sector for five years. She earned her teaching certificate through the Ga TAPP program, completed her Master's in Secondary Mathematics Education from Georgia State University, and finally earned her Specialist in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. Ms. Byrne taught Algebra I and Geometry in Paulding County for seven years before transitioning to administration in 2015 when she joined the Hiram HS family.
