  • Bullying Prevention Program Just Keep Peace

    The Bullying Prevention Program for the district is a multi-tiered approach which is designed from a proactive stance and provides a safe learning environment for all students. The overall framework of the program is based on the research-based Olweus Model. The name of this valuable program is Just Keep Peace. All district schools have a Just Keep Peace Plan with preventive information presented by school counselors to district students during Classroom Guidance. The prevention information is also presented to district staff.

    The CARE Project focuses on mental health and wellness as well as building caring relationships:
    Connect-Connect and reassure that you are there for support.
    Ask-Ask and listen about their life without judgement.
    Reach-Reach out and develop a relationship.
    Engage-Engage and encourage them by providing resources.
     
    The CARE Project is a collaboration of all stakeholders in the school district who recognize the importance of working together toward the common goal of increasing and enhancing support for students with life issues with particular emphasis on the prevention of youth suicide.

  • Celebrating Diversity

    The diversity information provides important calendar information so that stakeholders will know when different celebrations and holidays are occurring. Not only does the district want to implement cultural competence and inclusion, but also emphasizes compassionate understanding and communication for all. 

    Homeless Education Program

    McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act ensures educational rights and protection for children and youth experiencing homelessness.  The primary goal includes education stability and academic success.
