Ragsdale Elementary

Welcome to third grade at Sara Ragsdale Elementary!  My name is Tiffany Leahy and I am excited to start a new year of learning and adventure with your child.  This will be my 21st year as an elementary school teacher. I’ve spent 16 of my teaching years in second grade and my third year in third grade!

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.  My husband Mike and I met while attending college at West Georgia. We have two dogs, Chester and Buckels, both of whom keep us very busy and laughing constantly. When I’m not teaching students, I love spending time with my family and dogs. You may even see me on the beach collecting shells.

I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education.  I furthered my education by earning a master’s and specialist’s degree from Piedmont College.

I look forward to working with you as a team to further your child’s learning experiences. My goal is for your child to reach their full academic potential as well as build friendships with their classmates.  Each one of us plays a very important part in helping them to succeed.  I encourage you to take an active part in your child’s education—read with them, review homework, and attend the educational workshops/activities our school offers.
