Throughout the year, students take diagnostic assessments in both Reading and Math. These assessments are commonly referred to as Growth Measure assessments. These assessments are used to not only measure student progress in math and reading but to also measure the effectiveness of instruction throughout the year.
You may or may not hear your child talk about their Growth Measure scores, but when you meet with your child's teachers, Growth Measure assessment scores will likely be shared and discussed. To better help you understand what that score means, please refer to the image below.
