¡Bienvenidos! I am Dra. Mariela Aguilar. I am glad to be your Spanish teacher this semester. This is my third year at South Paulding High School and my third experience as a Spanish teacher in U.S.  I am happy to be a part of this great team of excellent educators.

I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  I moved to Reus, Spain in 2002. While living in Spain, I completed my PhD in Economics and Business  (in Spanish, of course). I taught Economics for 4 years at the University Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain).  I moved to the United States in January of 2016.

I love communicating in my native language of Spanish. I speak in Spanish with my two children and friends daily. Occasionally, I am able to teach my American husband some Spanish as well!
