Mrs. Shelley Patrick is the Director of Choral Activities at Austin Middle School and teacher of the course Music Appreciation. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Georgia Southern University (1998), a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton (2008), and a Specialist of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College (2016). Before her time at Austin Middle School, she spent 12 years teaching music and chorus at Dallas Elementary in Dallas, GA. This is Mrs. Patrick's 11th year with at Austin Middle School. Her students have participated annually in the GMEA All-State Chorus, GMEA Sixth Grade Statewide Honor Chorus, Large Group Performance Evaluation where they consistently earn superior and excellent ratings, GMEA District 7 Honor Chorus, and Paulding County Honor Chorus. The choirs at AMS performs 4-6 times a year for their parents and the community. Mrs. Patrick lives in Paulding County with her husband and her two children. Originally from Orlando, Florida, she spends several weeks a year visiting family, going to the theme parks, and relaxing at the beach. In her spare time she enjoys reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
