My Background—
I grew up in Marietta, Georgia in a Georgia Bulldog loving family. I love to read, sew, paint, and spend time with my family.
I attended Elizabeth Elementary School, Pine Mountain Middle School, North Cobb High School, Chattahoochee Technical College, and Mercer University.
My Experience—
I have an Associate of Applied Technology in Business Management, an Associate of Applied Technology in Marketing Management, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education/Special Education.
I worked for the school system while attending college in the evening. I have worked for Paulding County Schools for twelve years. Two years in a clerical position (records clerk), one year as a paraprofessional, and seven years teaching. I have worked at Dugan Elementary, Northside Elementary, and Roberts Elementary.
Prior to working for the school system, I worked in county government for eight years and for a utility company for seven years.
My Family—
I have one son, Blaine, he is twenty-four years old. He is currently working on a Master's Degree in Communications. He is a graduate of the University of North Georgia where he is majored in Social Studies. He graduated from Hiram High School 5 years ago. He is a sweet and intelligent young man. He is his mother’s sweetheart!
I am married to a wonderful man, Wier (pronounced the same as wear) Perry. He has been a Curtain Wall Engineer for over 30 years and has worked on many recognizable buildings. The most famous in our area that bears his expertise is the Georgia Aquarium. He shares sweetheart status with Blaine!
Last, but not least, my family includes our cat Gizmo. Gizmo is a female Pale Tortoise Shell Calico that is very affectionate and commands lots of attention. She loves to cuddle and play. She was a rescue kitty that was in need of a home. Blaine chose her name due to her appearance as a kitten. She had very large ears in relation to the size of her head. Therefore, he proclaimed her resemblance to a Gremlin and Gizmo became her name.
