Nitrotype.com
Students will establish accounts after they successfully complete their accuracy touch type accuracy test which ensures that students can find every key with the correct finger without looking down. Nitrotype is a great tool to build speed once typers have acheived a high level of touch type accuracy.

Typing.com
This website will be our primary website for learning how to type. Students will follow this online instruction along with daily in class kinestetic learning activities.Username= rmslunch# (ex. rms23456) & Password= ritchStudents may work on Keyboarding lessons on www.typing.com from home but must cover their hands with a sheet of paper, pillow case, or purchase a Speedskin (http://www.speedskin.com/keyboarding-instruction-covers.html). During their summative tests (60% of their grade) students will need to score well on a keyboarding lesson where the keyboard is covered and they must use the correct fingers. I do not grade for words per minute (WPM) as some students naturally are better typists; however, all students can learn where the correct keys are located on the keyboard and which finger should be used to hit each key. If your student is working from home please check on them to make sure they are completing each lesson to 95% accuracy and they are not looking down at the keyboard while they are completing their lessons. -
