My name is Kelly Tucker and I am about to begin my 23rd year of teaching. I taught science for 10 years including Gifted (for the majority of those) in 6th and 7th grade. When McClure opened I moved over into Physical Education and have been there ever since. I work with some pretty amazing people and students everyday. We have an outstanding department and have a dress out rate of about 98% to 99% each day. We mix together team sports and fitness to create a learning environment that is varied and challenging.
I am also lucky enough to be a club sponsor for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and an 8th grade only club called Project Adventure which is designed to utilize outdoor learning and team building to help create 8th graders who are ready for high school and the different challenges that they will have as they make that transition. We meet once a month on the first Thursday of the month for Project Adventure in the gym from 7:45 - 8:10 am. Please plan on arriving around 7:20 am so that we may begin promptly at 7:30 am. FCA meets every Wednesday morning from 7:45 - 8:10 am also.
